Sycamore Ridge has gathered a number of talented individuals as principals, advisors and investors—all of whom are passionate about building and advising small to middle market companies. The team brings decades of management, finance and investment experience that will help protect and grow businesses through transitions and thereafter.

Eric E. Kocer, Managing Principal

Eric has assumed the operational sponsor role with Sycamore Ridge’s previous transactions. He acted as the CFO and Corporate Development Director in previous acquisitions. 

Prior to Sycamore Ridge, Eric worked as an investment banker at William Blair and Lazard & Raiffeisen, focusing on business and financial services. Throughout his tenure, Eric worked in more than 30 transactions, cumulatively valued over $20B. A highlight of Eric’s tenure was when Financial Times awarded his small team “Financial Advisor of the Year” in 2013.​

Eric has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul. Eric enjoys playing his Hammond Organ as a semi-professional blues musician.

Ben Fehr, Principal

Ben has served as the CEO and Strategic Development Leader for Sycamore Ridge’s healthcare acquisitions. He steered the Company into growth and high profitability territories while implementing his experience in health insurance and claims management and processing. ​

Prior to that, Ben served as a nuclear submarine officer onboard the USS Maryland. In 2012, Ben received the USS Maryland and Squadron 20 Junior Officer of the Year award.​

Ben has an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a B.S. in History and Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Ben grew up on a farm in rural Illinois—he and his eight siblings helped their father run a successful midsized agribusiness in Central Illinois.
